Light Runner is a set of prototype software and methods which uses Infinity Aware Design to animate personal and shared material into several kinds of dynamic, never-repeating, interactive spaces.
Light Runner uses collections of images, visual art and text to generate dynamic interactive spaces in the form of live installation art, directed performances, virtual desktops, desktop visualizations, and “companion visualizations” that augment creative writing, brainstorming and journaling/diary work.
Light Runner uses a semantically aware, intelligent database generator, visualizations, methods and specialized algorithms, called the “Small Infinities Mixer.” When connected to the Mixer, Light Runner animates themes and collections from the Mixer and inspires further processes of self-curation, writing, journaling and live coding.

Reading and study material
Shared Spaces: Light Runner is also used to create shared group or public installations which animate themes, images, art, and messaging in group, outreach and business settings. In some of these shared settings Light Runner explores ways to implement “Mission Aware Design” (an adapted subset of Infinity Aware Design principles).
Installation Scenarios:
Live Mixing Mode: Running as an installed executable and connected to an instance of the “Small Infinites Mixer.” In this mode, Light Runner continuously creates live, never repeating visualizations which allow the observer to interact with, drive, navigate, direct and expand the performance by touch, keyboard and motion.
Installation Art Mode: An executable deployed with collections of images, text and a mini deployment of the Mixer database engine.
Video only: plays from a stored collection of video and images captured from performances of Live Mixing and Installation Art Modes.
Performance Mode: One or more performers interactively drive Light Runner in response to content, music, narrative or other cues. Awesome!
